I was just thinking about a factory in Japan, in my mind's eye I can see an assembly line of people painting, each person probably having a charm in their hand for split seconds. Judging from the lopsided shoes I'd say maybe this one wasn't even in someone hands that long. But then there's those glorified charms that have the beautiful paint; (as the camel to the right)such fantastic detail, I can see a single artist painting those ones. Perhaps they started air brushing the biggest part of the charm and then passed it along to have an artist paint the more intricate areas. After studying the charms you can see there are two different techniques used.
I wish there was more information on the production of the celluloid charm.
