Ah yes, she is fine!! I'm amazed at how much of her paint is still intact!! I'll bet the artists making these charms had no idea how cherished they would become; that decades later collectors would be treasuring them so; or that families would find collections of them safely tucked away in boxes and tins.
I must tell you a story. Several years ago I was a judge at a Miss Alabama beauty contest and for a wrap up party we all attended a fifties dance. One of the winners wore an unbelievable costume and she and her partner would jive and twirl across the floor, and guess what, under her poodle skirt and layers of crinoline, she was wearing the same thing this charm is.....NOTHING!! Just a bare butt baby!
