When seeing charms like these two that are so alike and yet so different, I started thinking that perhaps there was more than one charm factory producing these gems. In a recent conversation with a fellow collector from Japan, I was told there were many factories, all to meet the high demand in the Americas. This could be one of the reasons there are different markings on the charms, and sometimes, no markings at all.
